MVP WATCH

And why is Moss not as strong a candidate as Brady? He's on pace for about 1,900 yds and 24 TDs.

If you look closely, Plaxico Burress has slightly better numbers on a team without as much hype as the Pats. If both players continue on the same course through the rest of the season, you would really have to take Plax over Moss. He clearly means more to the Giants success than Moss does to the Pats.

Baring injury, AP has ROY sewn up. Unless he carries Minn far into the playoffs he won't be mentioned for MVP.

I agree with John Clayton of ESPN:

What the NFL is seeing is history in the making. Brady has 21 touchdown passes in six games, putting him on pace to throw 56 TD passes, seven more than Manning's record of 49. Brady is completing 72.5 percent of his passes, which could shatter Ken Anderson's completion record of 70.55 set in 1982. Brady's current quarterback rating of 128.9 tops Manning's 121.1 season record set in 2004.

That comment wins the Retarded Post of the Year award.

Brady has had vastly more defensive and special teams talent than Peyton ever has. He's even had a better O-line over the past few years.

Yeah right. Who did he have that first year they won the Superbowl? Ty Law? And, who else??? Lawyer Milloy was probably the next best player on defense.

Best receiver he had was Troy Brown btw, and his runningback was Antoine Smith.

Uh, no you don't. Brady has never advanced to a Super Bowl without an elite defense and relied heavily on Vinatieri in each one. Good luck getting that clutch kicking out of Vanderchoke.

Again, look into the 2001 team. Absolutely nothing "elite" about it. Same team that went 7-9 the prior year and started the year off 0-2 with Bledsoe behind center.

Really? What if Favre throws for 4,000 yds and 30+ TDs and leads an offense that can't run the ball to the playoffs? Isn't he more "valuable" to his team's success than Brady is to a Pats team that literally has no weaknesses? And why is Moss not as strong a candidate as Brady? He's on pace for about 1,900 yds and 24 TDs.

If the Packers win the Norris and make the playoffs, Favre should be the most VALUABLE player (even if Brady or Moss are the "best" player in the league this year).

If throwing interceptions makes a guy valuable, than you're right. And if Green Bay goes to the playoffs, it will have at least as much to do with their improved defense (and, of course, the general suckiness of the NFC) as it will their offense.

Brady threw 5 touchdowns in his last game in the first half alone!. Favre isn't anywhere near Brady's level of play.

That's quite the bid for the NTOTY Huddle award...

ok, i'l bite...i'm not up on the Huddle' acronymic decoding yet.

but i get the feelin' i'm not going to like it.... :D

seems like an award that would go in somebody's trophy case,

located in somebody's Mom's basement, right next to somebody's bed.
