Ear Problems

It sounds like she has a middle ear infection with effusion, which can be painful. Here is some more information for you. Make sure you get a hold of the ENT today because of the pain. The drops are called tobradex

 

 

see attached ..saw another website that indicated that while primarily for eye infections , tobradex can be effective for ear infections

 

fact that it also has pain killing abaility and not just antibiotic properties would tend one to believe it should help

Whomp, ya did good by getting a second opinion! :D

 

I talked to one of my ENT colleagues today, and he said if the ear drops don't help by 48-72 hours from now, you should contact her doctor again. Sometimes the antibiotic drops needs to be changed or antibiotic pills and additional drainage preocedures are needed.
