'canes2004
I installed the new monitor that the wifey bought me for Christmas. I've always used 2 monitors since it helps with doing multiple things on the internets especially FF drafts and such. Its a 19" flat screen to go along with my 17" standard flat screen. Problem is when surfing the net, the widescreen seems to have so much dead space at the 1440x900 resolution that I'm using. The browser window fits fine but web sites have a pretty large dead spot on the end. Anyway around this?
Egret
Nope. It helps some websites keep a standard size.
'canes2004
Nope. It helps some websites keep a standard size. Yeah, kinda thought that might be the case. Some, like the Huddle, have the dead spot on the right. Other sites split the dead zones on both sides. Oh well, thanks for the response Egret. DMD
Are you maximizing screens on both monitors? I use two monitors as well and can have up to 20 windows open at a time but I never maximize any window. The Huddle is always the standard size width for a web page. Ah, I never thought of it that way. Good info David, Thanks.
theeohiostate
some site format their sites to custom width.......Huddle. some sites will stretch your entire width.......MFL I have 32" monitor and this is normal on widescreen. I wish designers would auto center their pages

JoJoTheWebToedBoy
Do you sit across the room? Man, it's great. I own a 30 inch Dell widescreen. Gaming is great. And if you use spreadsheets alot, once you pop that bad boy up on one of these monitors you will never want to go back.

I have two 19" monitors alongside each other at work and my productivity went way up after I started using them.
