rocknrobn26
My family doctor biffed this one actually. He had told me that my x-rays and my MRI both came up negative, and then on a later visit for an unrelated matter, I told him that my ankle was still really bad and that I thought I was going nuts because he had told me my test results were all negative. He then said, "Well, that's not entirely true." He then looked at my chart and informed me that indeed the MRI was positive. "Oh. Thanks Dr. Dumbass!" On a related note......I had a student of mine dropped a 6" sch 80 pipe on my ankle years ago. It hurt, but wasn't that bad. I finished the day and then taught night school. When I got home, I had to cut my boot off, it had swelled so bad and the color was the most beautiful blue and purple. I went to my doc the next day he looked at it and said "It's not broken". No x-rays, nothing. What a great doc! 30 years later, I was having trouble w/ the same ankle. The podiatrist took x-rays and said "Looks like you've broken that ankle at least 3 times!". I said "What!?!?!?". Rewind....Long story short, we got rid of that quacker about a year or two later after my ankle incident when he diagnosed (no tests, no specialist) my wife with throat cancer! Freaked her out for like a week until she could see a specialist. The specialist said "No cancer, no polyps, just nodules. Just don't force your voice anymore.".
