Badly sprained or broken

My family doctor biffed this one actually. He had told me that my x-rays and my MRI both came up negative, and then on a later visit for an unrelated matter, I told him that my ankle was still really bad and that I thought I was going nuts because he had told me my test results were all negative. He then said, "Well, that's not entirely true." :brew:

He then looked at my chart and informed me that indeed the MRI was positive.

"Oh. Thanks Dr. Dumbass!" :D

On a related note......I had a student of mine dropped a 6" sch 80 pipe on my ankle years ago. It hurt, but wasn't that bad. I finished the day and then taught night school. When I got home, I had to cut my boot off, it had swelled so bad and the color was the most beautiful blue and purple. I went to my doc the next day he looked at it and said "It's not broken". No x-rays, nothing. What a great doc! 30 years later, I was having trouble w/ the same ankle. The podiatrist took x-rays and said "Looks like you've broken that ankle at least 3 times!". I said "What!?!?!?". Rewind....Long story short, we got rid of that quacker about a year or two later after my ankle incident when he diagnosed (no tests, no specialist) my wife with throat cancer! :D Freaked her out for like a week until she could see a specialist. The specialist said "No cancer, no polyps, just nodules. Just don't force your voice anymore.".
