Bier Meister
Stl. won the regular series 4-2. Bonds went 1-2, 1 R, 3 BB in the 6 games. Was out due to his hammie. The last game played was 7/25. Giants did catch fire til August. Starting pitching is similar. Relief goes to SF. Offense to SF. Giants in 6. wiegie
Here are my thoughts: Offense to the Giants?!? That thin, mile-high air has affected your thinking. The Cardinals might have the best line-up top-to-bottom in all of baseball. And if Rolen can somehow play, it gets that much better. And speaking of catching fire, the Cardinals have won something like 24 out of their last 28 games. That is smokin'! Your sad sap Giants team is going down in five! Bier Meister
hmmmmmmmmm funny how herr wiegie did not accept a wager.. did our offense out perform yours? at your home field? with our "worst pitcher?" da mn that would suck if stl was down 0-2 going to sf where sf is a pretty dominant team at home...... Meister doing cabbage patch dance right about now (ok, fine, looks more like churning butter)
Chavez
You oughta cabbage patch on Lofton's melon. Showboats after a HR, and then just about charges the mound on a not-that-high or inside pitch. What whiny pud.

Bier Meister
hey, i know you are a man of principle, but i cannot in good conscience accept a bet with such an advantage. I still see this going to 5. Just happy the giants are doing well in the post season. Cards have a solid team. They will be competing again next year. Have a good time at the conference. hmmmm.... sf over stl is becoming a theme. When do the Sharks play the Blues????
Bier Meister
I honestly think that any of the matchups in the NL would have been fun to watch. I would ahve liked to see the A's beat the Yankees in the AL. Just having them out is good enough though.
Bier Meister
Kudos to the Cards. Pitchers did a great job minimizing giants production after the lead off man reached base. An especially critical SO of Sanders with bases loaded with 1 out in the 7th. Also, three homers to nearly the same spot in a park the is one of (if not THE) most difficult to go long. Bier Meister
Rarely have I seen a home team get so hosed. same friggin' ump!!!. Holds up Santiago, then missed a tag out that results in stl run.......... booooooooo! boooooooo!

wiegie
That was a pretty good series even though it ended the wrong way. Folks in St. Louis will have plenty of reasons to gripe about Larussa's managerial decisions during the off-season. Congrats to the Giants and their fans. I'm rooting for you guys in the WS. (I must admit that last night I was really hoping for San Francisco to lose games in both the NFL and MLB.) frown
wiegie
By the way, I think Kenny Lofton is going to take a fast-ball in the ear-hole the first time he faces St. Louis pitching next year. What a jackass.
Bier Meister
The 3 games in SF really gave us our money's worth. morris pitched a great game. it was a good series and closer than what 4-1 indicates. if kenny stays in the nl i am sure he'll see some high heat vs the cards. I was very pleased with SF sports last night. Would have enjoyed it more if the 49ers won and alexander got 3 td's. Prost!
