billay
We pulled out the telescope the other night for the lunar eclipse and let our 5yo stay up late to watch it. We spent the next couple of days talking about the moon and the solar system with him. It reminded me of a computer program my high school physics professor had of a working model of the solar system. You could send stray planets or stars into it and wreak havok on all the orbits. It was cool, and I was actually able to find something similar on the internet for my son. It also has some cool working models of the solar system to scale and other toys. I thought I'd share. Astronomy workshop The working model is under solar system viewers and the one you can manipulate with a foreign body is called "Rogue Star" IT's under "explore the possibilities"

Swashbucklers
Pretty cool stuff, especially since I am in the middle of my solar system unit in my classes. Thanks!
