Caveman_Nick
So....to make a long story short, my dad approached me a little bit ago and mentioned that he has an opportunity to buy into an Arena Football franchise. The franchise is The New England Surge. I have never really followed Arena Football. This team is a member of the Continental Indoor Football League. There are 15 franchises in this league. The group that owns this franchise is one of the groups that was competing with Bob Kraft for the Patriots bid in 1993. Any Huddlers with knowledge of this team, league, or arena football in general? I have been tasked to be a fact finder for my dad...and I figured I would start here *I wasn't sure if I should throw this in the "Other Sports" forum, but I figured it would get better looks here. KevinL
Cleveland got an Arena team this year for the first time. Bernie Kosar is part owner and the spokesman. I have no idea how many fans they drew but it was a big deal when our Gladiators played John Elway's "orange crush" or whatever they were called. Big John
This looks like a minor-league version of arena football. Teams at this level are struggling to survive, so a good amount of capital would be needed to help keep it solvent.
