Capt. Stanky
They appear to be the rookies in the best situations. Chris Johnson is the only play maker they have on that offense with VY sidelined indefinitely. I didn't get a chance to see the game against the jags, but the stats jump out at you against that D. Forte looked really good against Indy, granted it is Indy. He seems like a much niftier runner than I expected. He made some impressive inside cuts for a big back. He seems to have great feet, which is one of the more important things for a RB, IMHO. My question is simple. Who do you like more this year? Who do you like more for the future? Big Score 1
Matt Forte
TDFFFreak
PPR Chris Johnson may get the slight edge. but I like Forte's unquestioned starter status better. It's a toss up for me. Both are looking to pay dividends if week 1 is any indication.
Grimm74
I like CJ in a PPR league much better then Forte, but we need to give this thread a good 6 plus weeks or at least 2 weeks to get a good idea. I mean in one week Forte had what 8 more touches then CJ and produced more FF points so right now you have to say Forte, but I think CJ is much more talented and will only build on his touches as the season goes on. Capt. Stanky
What do you guys think now? The bottom line is that I want to trade one of these two to improve my second QB (We start 2 and my #2 is Palmer). Who would you rather have for the long haul. I'm kinda leaning towards Forte since he appears to be an everydown back and getting the goaline carries. 8 team 10 player keeper with deep rosters. PPR league and all TD's are worth 6. My Team: QB's (start 2) Romo, Palmer ,Bulger, Pennington, Collins RB's (start 2) Addai, J-Lew, Forte, CJohnson, RBrown WR's (start 3) Braylon, Calvin, Colston, Royal, RBrown, JMorgan TE (start 1) Witten Edited September 16, 2008 by Capt. Medal of Honor
I think Johnson is surrounded by more talent. Whether that means he gets less looks or it opens things up for him, who knows. When given the chance I took CJ.

That automatically downgrades your response

That automatically downgrades your response Umm, he gave you the reasons why he took Johnson over Forte when faced with the option. Isn't that what you asked for? No doubt, but I know I'm biased towards my own players. I'm not discounting his opinion, but I'd like to hear more impartial opinions. Not sure why you'd feel the need to make this response. Do you have an opinion?
