bushwacked
I hope Wes Craven does some justice to his original 1972 version. I put the original version amongst the greatest disturbed pieces of low budget cinematic history and one of my personal top 10 movies of all time. JoJoTheWebToedBoy
Truely a Drive-in movie masterpiece.... The original release was a bit more disturbing (for it's time) then some of the edited and watered down versions that cam later.
bushwacked
I plan on going to a matinee version of this movie this week. All sorts of groups are getting worked up on the violence in this movie; discouraging people to see it and wondering why it didn't get an NC-17. Sounds like the new version is loyal to the realism of the disturbingly violent, yet compellingly original version of the 1972 movie. Can't wait. May be able to see it tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday afternoon. Just need to see how some things shake out. Both my wife and I want to see it. irish
My sister went to see it last night with a bunch of her friends and they all said, over dinner tonight, that it was very disturbing. Sorry, I can't offer more details but it looks as though you won't be disappointed.

I would even wager to say top 5.

They need to be making a hot chick piss her pants while carving words onto the other hot chicks chest with a knife,....if not.....it devolves from the original. Cunning Runt
Hate movies like this. Hostel, Saw, and Texas Chain Saw, all of them. Cannot understand what people see in these type of movies.

irish
Ohh....you don't need to offer more details. They need to be making a hot chick piss her pants while carving words onto the other hot chicks chest with a knife,....if not.....it devolves from the original. **Spoilers** Supposedly and again I haven't seen it, they cut one guy's nerves so that he's basically paralyzed and can't get away or free himself and then stick his head in a microwave and it explodes. They take another guy and put his hands in a garbage disposal and grind 'em up. The guy getting his hands ground down to nubs says something like, "What's wrong with these people?!" and he was the one who raped a girl earlier in the movie (hope I got that right).
