Randall
If Peyton Manning is so amazing, why can't he save the stadium himself? He would probably try to fix the problem for 8 years, but every time he got close to getting the money, he'd choke it all away....then in the 9th year he would run into someone with a good idea, but poor management and get lucky and con them out of the money. If he concentrated on saving stadiums instead of beating the Jaguars he probably could.

bushwacked
The Colts have signed a 30 year lease. Not really sure about all the other extenuating circumstances, but I wouldn't put too much faith in a lease.
H8tank
I wonder if Peyton can handle the criticism in LA?
CaptainHook
Not really sure about all the other extenuating circumstances, but I wouldn't put too much faith in a lease. The CIB is cutting costs and looking to sell naming rights to the new convention center. The stadium isn't closing. The Colts aren't going anywhere. bushwacked
The CIB is cutting costs and looking to sell naming rights to the new convention center. The stadium isn't closing. The Colts aren't going anywhere. Why are you rolling your eyes at my comment?. I don't know what is happening in the pastey midwest, and prefaced the comment. I can tell you about at a team with a 40 year history that had a lease and a new stadium that isn't in Seattle anymore. CaptainHook
Because this thread is ridiculous. H8 knows the Jags are much closer to being in LA than the Colts are. The CIB deficit is not just from the Colts. They also run Conseco Fieldhouse, home of the Pacers, and the Convention Center. Irsay has not said a word about moving. He said he is honoring his 30 year commitment that was signed less than 2 years ago. The city just has to figure out where to get the money. There has not been any talk of the stadium closing.
