Big Country
I have JC Tran down for 315,605 and Lindgren with 22,499. I will go back and recheck. Thanks BC. Checked on Tran. Damn file the WSOP sent out has him listed under multiple names. Once as JC Tran, and then as Justin Tran. Back to doing more research and cleaning up ETA: Searched the event 3 results, which is where some of the missing cashes were. The file I was sent stated only 19 spots cashed and only gave the top 19 finishers. I think the data entry folks reversed the numbers (91 cashed I believe) so their DB pulled the wrong numbers. I manually updated the players on rosters for that event. I'll do another double check when I get a chance, but right, kids are calling. muck $1,613,124 BC $1,154,374 Do Work Son $1,149,624 Darin $962,081 Bring Back Pat $917,727 Timmypg $840,178 WashingtonD $827,442 Tim C $747,985 godtomsatan $595,364 skylive $379,826 Huddler Roster WSOP Scoring BC Negreanu, Daniel $310,021 BC Lindgren, Erick $22,499 BC Greenstein, Barry $18,136 BC Grospellier, Bertrand $36,691 BC Bonomo, Justin $418,036 BC Shorr, Shannon $3,246 BC Fricke, Jimmy $0 BC Cunningham, Allen $2,745 BC Ferguson, Chris $2,745 BC Ivey, Phil $340,255 Bring Back Pat Cunningham, Allen $2,745 Bring Back Pat Ivey, Phil $340,255 Bring Back Pat Hellmuth, Phillip $15,992 Bring Back Pat Hansen, Gus $0 Bring Back Pat Brown, Chad $199,336 Bring Back Pat J.C. muck
Main event is on. Top notables in today's action (today is the third "Day 1"; I don't have the results for either of the first two "Day 1's"): $80,000 Josh Arieh $47,500 Kristy Gazes $43,000 Vanessa Rousso $42,400 David Benefield $42,250 Dutch Boyd $42,000 Phil Ivey $41,200 Shannon Shoor $40,000 Victor Ramdin $40,000 Daniel Alaie $40,000 Cliff Josephy ...a sure sign of the recession...the first "Day 1" only had 873 players in it, the first time the first "Day 1" had fewer than 1,000 players in it since 2003... Bring Back Pat!!!
And those that didn't go Day 1A suffered, because on Day 1D they ended up turning players away at the door who were trying to get in. They had 1600 or 1700 who did play, but around 2400-2600 who wanted to play. They should have showed up on Days A or B. As an aside, best I can tell, my team has 7 of 10 who survived the Day 1's. I've lost Allen Cunningham, Brandon Cantu and Mark Vos.
Bring Back Pat!!!
One of the first hands of the day from Day 2A, yesterday: Tue, 07 Jul 2009 12:15:16 BOOM! On one of the very first hands of the day, Mark Landgraf was crushed in dramatic fashion. According to Landgraf, this is how the hand went down. Landgraf's opponent, Alexander Yaroshetskiy, raised to 1,200 preflop and Landgraf called. The flop came down Kh, Qh, Qd. Yaroshetskiy bet 5,000 into Landgraf and he called. The turn added another lady to the party with the Qs. Yaroshetskiy fired out 10,000 and Landgraf called. The river brought the 10h and Yaroshetskiy bet a hefty 20,000. Landgraf shoved and his opponent snap-called. Landgraf was happy to roll over Ac, Qc for quad queens. Yaroshetskiy however, was holding a superior hand, Ah, Jh, for the royal flush. The table erupted and one player even fell back out of his chair as he was leaning back in it. Yaroshetskiy is now up to 240,000 and Landgraf dropped all the way to 15,000. Royal over quads. Ouch. Bertrand Grospellier I know of offhand, and when I get home and can look up the site (blocked from work) I'll be able to see if there were any more.
