Atlanta Cracker
I'm looking for a new printer from home and wondering if anyone had suggestions. We mainly use it for simple things but occasionally my wife will have some project that requires color printing and usually laser quality meaning I end up having to print it at work for her. I would like to avoid that. Required features: - Color - Both Mac and PC compatible - Relatively small size Ideal features to include as well: - multifunction (mainly copy but scan also would be nice, no need for fax) - laser (not sure of cost of upkeep and how long stuff lasts v/s inkjet) - network printer (rather than connecting to one machine since I have Mac and PC) - relatively inexpensive (looking in the $250 - $500 range) Any suggestions? H8tank
Stay away from HP and dell printers, check Brother, we've had great success with ours. Lexmark #2.
Double Agent
I have the Brother MFC 7840W. It's WiFi which is a big plus. I couldn't be happier with it. But it's not color.
keggerz
I too have had good success with brother printers Not small: http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/p17...DP1606:CL161518 a bit smaller but still not small: http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/p17...DP1606:CL161518 I am sure you can find better deals than the ones I linked to at staples but those are a couple that should do what you want but size is an issue...and I think it might be hard to find a small footprint laser color machine to do what you want
BeeR
Canon. Used and/or know people w/em (pretty much low end too) - work fine and replacement cartridges are cheaper than most. HP always seemed fine to me but I think the cartridges are pricey. Can't say on Brother.

Atlanta Cracker
I ended up rolling the dice on a Samsung. Got pretty decent reviews except for people complaining about not having an envelope tray which I have no use for.
