Azazello1313
I originally posted this in the photography forum, because the photos are awesome, but posting it here as well at ursa's suggestion. be sure to read the captions. michael yon's site is a great source of on-the-ground front line news from afghanistan (just as it was for years from iraq). his endeavor as an embedded reporter is totally reader-supported, so if you really enjoy his site like I do you might feel compelled to contribute a buck or two. Ursa Majoris
Just fantastic stuff. Everyone - next time you're pissed about a squabble at work, a traffic jam or some other minor inconvenience, take a look at these pics and, as Az said, read the text. Then see if you're still pissed.
Riffraff
A passing salute to those listed at the bottom of the page. Great pictures from the top.
Retrograde assault
Might have a little Ernie Pyle in him.
Square
I read his site for awhile when he was in Iraq. Gates of Fire was a heck of a story and got me hooked. I haven't read him in a long time but this is a good reminder. I'll check it out when I have a chance.
