euphy
He looks pretty solid at the end of the year.
abishagenaden
With the level of talent the Lions currently have, I don't think he's ready to be a 'top' FF QB next year yet. Mid-tier with a good ceiling, perhaps.
Furd
I think that Stafford has a bright future. However, I'm thinking that its going to be another year before we see him make significant strides. Outside of C. Johnson, the Lions WRS are woeful. The Bengals DBs apparently stapled their spamshirts to Bryant Johnson's. If Pettigrew bounces back from his injury, the Lions will be ok at TE. If not, they could be in trouble. Kevin Smith is a serviceable RB. However, he's not a game breaker and defenses really don't have to take him into account from a rushing perspective, particularly with the Lions playing from behind. Right now, opposing teams can double Johnson and their lineman can pin their ears back and punish Stafford. Next year, Schwartz and company will have intense pressure to draft defensive players - a lot of them. The need help on the OL, particularly at guard. There are some pretty good WR free agents next year and the Lions will have to sign one of them to help Stafford out. bigdre13
I think he will be OK, i do think calvin Johnson will be a stud again next year because Stafford won't hurt his value next year.
wolfer
Schartz's #1 beef all season has been Kevin Smith failing to take advantage of 7 man fronts. I own Stafford and Calvin in a dynasty league but 2010 seems a bit early to look for more than QB2 production. As Furd said they need a working running game and another WR weapon to get teams off of Calvin. Man, the NFC North is the home of the 'Joe Average' RB: Forte, Smith, Grant. Yawn. They would all be far better if they played with lines that could actually block...
euphy
Stafford is the only guy to impress me so far this year as a potential sleeper for next year.
