Gopher Posted December 16, 2009 Share Posted December 16, 2009 I believe you can use a debit card, but they'll just charge an additional amount, as a deposit. In other words, with a credit card, they can charge you for damages incurred after the car has been returned. With a debit card, they want to make sure that you have the funds, so they withdraw a deposit up front (which is returned as long as the car is in the same condition as when it was rented).
