SEC=UGA
Painter of light Why is it that almost every "artist" I've met is a complete and utter self righteous, pompous, D-bag. Just asking?
westvirginia
Did you see the picture? What'd they do, look under "a$$hole" in the dictionary for that picture?

kpholmes
Kinkade is actually from my hometown, Placerville CA, and sold his first painting as a kid at the fine arts camp I work at every summer. He has neglected to give anything back to the community that he's made all of his money off of (Christmas on Main Street was one of his first hits) and has been a genuine ass-hole to everyone who meets him. He's absolutely despised for his attempts to commercialize and de-value art - and there are a lot of people who are happy to see karma come around. This is one of my favorite quotes of his: "There's been million-seller books and million-seller CDs. But there hasn't been, until now, million-seller art. We have found a way to bring to millions of people, an art that they can understand."

The Referee
This is great OK people. We've got reposting a link 4 posts after it was originally posted. That's a 10 yard penalty. Repeat 3rd down.
