myhousekey
http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2010/06/2...th-suffers.html Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith broke his left arm Sunday playing flag football and has already had surgery to insert a plate. Smith was reaching for a pass that went over his head and when he fell, tried to catch himself with his left arm. He broke a bone near the same area where he broke the arm late last season against the New York Giants Smith should miss the start of training camp, the agent says, but should be available for the season opener on Sept. 12, at the New York Giants. keggerz
probably a blessing in disguise since it seems that the arm didn't heal properly...at least now he had the surgery and will be ready to go
Square
probably a blessing in disguise since it seems that the arm didn't heal properly...at least now he had the surgery and will be ready to go I thought they were saying that it was broken in a different place. Last time it was a wrist and this time it is a little higher on his arm. I could be wrong though...

I could be wrong though... you are right, it said NEAR...still guess it could have something to do with the injury last year...anyway, it is still best for it to have happened now vs in season

electricrelish
Luckily i traded for Dwayne Jarrett Yeah, that was weird that you did it the day before the news broke. Was it you that broke his arm playing flag football with him? You'll stop at nothing to ruin my season.

Randall
Hope Smith will be pissed off about this and proves he is the best WR in the league come training camp.

Randall
Steve Smith (fractured arm) is willing to bet his game check that he'll be active and starting in Week 1 against the Giants. There's little doubt Smith will be back as much as two weeks before the opener, and he has extra incentive against the Giants. Safety Michael Johnson laid the hit on him that resulted in his original broken arm late last season. "I'm going after him," Smith said. Johnson should be shaking in his cleats. Seriously.
