cmutts
PPR 12 team league standard scoring. Was last year a fluke or does he become a legit WR2? This is a 12 team league and we start 3 WR's each week.
Scooby's Hubby
simmer down , i think, unless there is another injury. last year gonzalez was out but is back now and austin collie looked good. I just dont see myself wanting to draft him unless I also drafted Wayne. Edited July 4, 2010 by Scooby's Hubby

I just dont see myself wanting to draft him unless I also drafted Wayne. Even having Wayne doesn't push Garcon up my board at all. Basically what Scooby's Main Man said, I would not want to put myself into a position where I had to rely on Garcon for regular weekly production barring another string of injuries to Colts WRs. Gonzo will be the one out of a job this year whether or not he is healthy. Garcon offers more big play ability to Peyton.
Scooby's Hubby
Does Gonzo's injury from last year still have lingering effects? It would make some difference, but I still think with Collie in the mix you would be playing statistical roulette with Garcon/Collie. Scooby's Hubby
umm, where's that coming from? Do you and Cmutts have an issue from somewhere else cuz I'm not seeing any anxiety in his post. As for IND pass game, I'm going to avoid it unless value presents itself. I do like Wayne, but it seems like IND has more WR talent than possibly ever. A homer's opinion would be nice, so post up. Peyton will spread the ball around. Wayne will finish outside WR10. Garcon will be the #3 on the team after Clark. its a sarcastic expression that Garcon is not that exciting ... that is why I put the little emoticon. Garcon's overall stats for this year a big yawner unless there are injuries at WR in Indy. I do not get personal (unless provoked) and did not say anything personal here. There was a skit on SNL where a lady always enthusiastically said "simmer down now" unnecessarily ... I kinda was being her in fun. Wpob
I disagree - I think Garcon is going to have a solid year suitable for a #3 WR. With Wayne and Clark garnering most of the attention and Collie and Gonzalez better suited for the slot, Garcon will be outside opposite Wayne. I think he will put up decent number with a lot of yards and 7-8 TDs this year - I will take that for my #3 WR. And if you are in a keeper league, I would love to have him. AND (wow that's a lot of ands) if Wayne or Gonzo goes down, his numbers will be even better.

I just think you will be playing roullette with the guy and hoping for stats. Maybe #4 WR on your team but not a 16 week starter for you. Scooby's Hubby
FYI, if you even care I do know the SNL skit, it was the rolleyes that threw me. I never see that emoticon used in humor, but I'm probably in the minoriity. my tone in my typing is usually misunderstood, and that is why i am trying to use the emoticons to convey a less serious tone. I am practicing, plz give me time LOL.
cmutts
Nice to see this one got people going. seems like people are really split on this one. He appears to be the starter opposite Wayne. Clark would be option 2 and then Garcon. Question is, is Peyton's number 3 option better than most teams number 2 and in some cases number 1? I think he's better than collie and that's why he was on the field more last year.
Scooby's Hubby
for being insensitive for being misunderstood for being a Cowboy fan I love it! I think he's better than collie and that's why he was on the field more last year. I am just scared that his big plays made up a large portion of his stats and with Gonzo back and Collie being used I think he will get less big plays and will be like playing hit or miss with his starts. Indy is a top 5 passing offense for sure so I don't think he is a bad consideration. I guess I am just in leary mode this time of the pre-season
Big Country
Like most of these situations, ideally camps and the preseason gmaes will give us a better indication of how the players will be utilized. For those that have to draft now, there is a lot higher risk involved, but, then again, you may be able to get a much higher value player much later in the draft. ROYALWITCHEESE
Garcon is going to start for the Colts, and that's all I need to know. He is still a developing player, and is thought of by the Colts staff as the most talented WR on the roster. That in itself tells me something. He is going to start, and he is only going to get better. Solid WR3 with WR2 upside.
