Footballjoe
I went to get tuneup parts for my 2000 Ford E150. Plugs, wires etc. I was told there is no distributor cap and rotor. What's up with that?

SEC=UGA
My Q 45 was sputtering a bit, took it to the dealership and told the dude I thought I had a timing belt issue. He looked at me and said, no timing belt in your car. I said, sorry, I meant the timing chain. He giggled, not one of those either. I was like, just fix the goddamn car, jack ass. Clubfoothead
Finding tires for my 1997 Mitsubishi Mirage can get difficult at times.
westvirginia
Electronic ignition still used a distributor cap and rotor until probably the late 80's, early 90's. What's going on now is called "distributorless ignition". It uses a crank sensor and cam sensor so it can adjust spark, timing advance etc. by computer instead of by vacuum. It can analyze lots of things in the engine performance and make the spark work with fuel adjustments. All the Ford 4.6/5.4 engines have distributorless ignition. I would guess they changed all 8 coils and your car now runs perfect.
evil_gop_liars
First the cap and rotor, next thing you know they will do away with the key that turns it on...
