untateve
I am looking to make authentic and delicious egg rolls. There are two Asian markets nearby so getting the ingredients is not an issue. However, there are any number of recipes online and I'm not sure which to choose. I am hoping that the wealth of knowledge present here can provide some direction. Time and complexity are not an issue--I simply want them to be good. EDIT: If there are suggestions for creating dipping sauces, that would also be most appreciated. Bier Meister
my favorite are pretty simple. - chopped rock shhrimp - minced or sliced shi take - sliced bamboo shoots - little ginger - little sesame oil in a bowl, i toss the shrimp with sesame oil and ginger. then just build egg rolls. i have done this by throwing the shrimp, ginger, sesame oil, mushrooms in a food processor to create a shrimp paste. both versions are very good. untateve
If, by chance, one has children who do not like shrimp, are there other options? Thanks for the above suggestion as I will certainly try the recipe.
Bier Meister
shredded, marinated pork.or chicken.. quick stir fry and let it cool. i'd then throw in a little shredded cabbage, carrots, cilantro i am also a fan of crispy duck spring rolls. almost like a peking or mushu.
