detlef
Well, not really chanted per se, just yelled where everyone drags it out and your wife has to ask you why they're booing when something good just happened. I mean, you never here dudes named "Dave" getting their name yelled in this matter and that would work great because it sounds like "Yay!" Also, how do you spell "yay"? Is that right? PPIchamp
Good question, heh. Red Sox fans yell "Youk" when Youkilis does something, and it sounds like boo's. And Packers fans yell 'Kuhn" when John Kuhn runs the ball. Sounds like boooooo!

Chavez
Bruuuuuuuuuuce Smith. Or Bruce Springsteen. I figure it's because that "oooooo" sound really reverberates. That's probably why people boo in the first place.

They are copying the Ravens fans yelling "HEAP" whenever Todd Heap does something good

Kid Cid
For the same reason that the crowd only sings what I call "The Drunk Song" (Rock and Roll Part 2 by Gary Glitter). The words are simple enough for even the drunks to remember.
