Do Work Son
Now it says 126 million...18 million a year.
ebartender
That is nuts. Werth is a very good players but 7 years puts him at 39 years old when the contract is over. Plus he doesn't have any protection in that line-up the way he did in Philly. I would have loved for the Phils to sign him to a 4-5 year deal but 7 years...wow. rhippens
i honestly can't believe it. that puts him up near the highest paid outfielders in the league. i was glad he was a phil, i liked his defense, but i still don't think he is worth that chunk of change. i would've gone after crawford with that coin. he's gotta be happy about this signing. Do Work Son
Yea...they overpaid but can you blame Werth for taking that deal...unbelievable that he will make 18 million at 39...well done Scott Boras P.S trust me that the phils fans will let them know how they feel about him for the rest of his career
keggerz
Knew it was inevitable that we would lose him but still stings...nice take on his part for sure...now just have to hope that Dom is everything he is supposed to be.
SLAYER
Knew it was inevitable that we would lose him but still stings...nice take on his part for sure...now just have to hope that Dom is everything he is supposed to be. Dom was sent home from the Mexican League the other day after starting 2-23.

Avernus
I still say that Brown only needs to get into a rhythm to do well.....because when we 1st called him up, he played better than he did after sitting on the bench for awhile... Brown is in every sense of the word a starter and imo Fransisco should be fighting with Ibanez for LF if not a 3-way battle for LF and RF with Ibanez fixed to LF if he does win the competition... if it's me though.....I go Fransisco | Victorino | Brown but that's me....and I'm not handing Ibanez the check he is making which isn't "bench player" money... rhippens
i agree. i actually think those guys will be in a bit of a rotation in LF. not full blown, but i think they'll play it like they did toward the end of this season and move stuff around based on pitching matchups and how guys are hitting.
