Clubfoothead
wrong - in fact you just did what you are assuming I did. My point like I said was that people that are using that rapid refund are idiots and thowing money away - if they are rich or poor they are throwing money away - for the most part (in my opinion) smoking and spending money at a casino is throwing your money away. But since you brought it up and I know you will ignore this but I am willing to bet you $100.00 that more than 50% of poor people have cell phones and that more than 50% of those people have additonal plans like texting or data. I would also bet that there is a higher % of people who smoke are at the lower ends of the wages scale. When I walk through casinos around here I don't see a bunch of well dressed well off people. It does not make me feel warm and fuzzy - it actually pisses me off. Either you are too stupid to realize that this crap happens or maybe you don't care or maybe you think most people are doing things right except for some other reasons than the choices they make they are inherently good. We will always disagree on this stuff and maybe I should be more like you but I am not sure I really want to be a know it all condascending prik. You can't put me on ignore again if you would like and I apologize for being a prik here but you always tend to really piss me off and I am sure I do the same back to you When you are an Iraqi and KKKarl Rove gives it to you it's called liberation. gbpfan1231
most of it actually. But I afraid that responding to you might result in words too complicated for you to understand. I sure wouldnt want to be condescending . . . . You have a visceral hatred of poor people because you have a preconceived notion (based on your posts) that somehow poor people are living the high life of public assistance. You seem to think that if a poor person has a cell phone (never mind why they have it) then somehow they have robbed you personally. Quite often people need assistance due to circumstances beyond their control, and for all you know (but dont want to as your preconceived notions are more confortable and familiar) they could be doing everything they can to get out of their current situations and elevating themselves. But I understand how the overly simplistic idea that all poor people drive escalades, have iphones and chug red bull while smoking at a casino appeals to you. It gives you a target for your hate. It gives you a face to express how you want taxes lower. Never mind how miniscule public aid is as an overall part of the budget that applies to your arguemnet about "waste", or that you have no idea what restrictions may be on public aid, the stereotype is much easier to "believe". Wrong again Wrong again Wrong again. I do not hate the poor. I never said if they have a cell phone they robbed me. Don't mind at all if they have a cell phone. If they have all the bells and whistles and a Blackberry or Iphone then I mind. I agree people need assistance and I respect the people who get assistance and also do whatever is best to get off of assistance. I know people on assisatance and they are great people. I also know people on assistance that make no attempt because life is good on assistance. I don't respect those people. I don't respect the people on assistance for things like bad backs but then work side jobs for cash.
bushwacked
When I walk through casinos around here I don't see a bunch of well dressed well off people. I don't see how admitting you assume one's wealth by their personal dress attire strengthens your "I don't stereotype" argument.
