Big John
I thought about putting the top down but didn't want to mess up my long luxurious Fabio-like hair for our 2:00 meeting. SEC=UGA
Pulled Da Vette out of it's long slumber and drove it today. Actually rolled down the windows when Tina and I went to our V-Day lunch. I thought about putting the top down but didn't want to mess up my long luxurious Fabio-like hair for our 2:00 meeting. 65 degrees here. I pulled the Toyota Tundra out of the driveway this AM, like I do every morning, rolled down the window and yelled some lewd comments at the cute heifer in my neighbors pasture. Since I'm bald, I wasn't too worried about the wind messing up my hair.
SeductiveNun
Still working in Fargo Land. Warmed up to mid 40's and the "air tight" bentonite seal in wells installed in -20 degree weather failed. Good thing I get paid for other people's bad decisions (I called this field experiment I'm enduring a bad idea from the get go). Wow! I've put in a few wells in MN during the winter, but at -20 we stopped work altogether. Granted we were using mud-rotary to drill and there was the problem of the mud freezing in the lines, but jeez, it sounds like someone really dropped the ball to keep going on your project in those conditions. The Holy Roller
How cold is it? It's so cold that when somebody asked Detlef "Is it hot enough for you?" he simply replied "No."

We were just doing a series of shallow soil gas wells for a vapor intrusion investigation that the state was pushing. So losing seal in the well wasn't the most costly below, but the push during this time of the year was ridiculous and uncalled for.

The state wanted us to do the same thing a couple years ago, but I was able to push the work off until spring. Granted it was a low priority site we were working on and access issues with some of the surrounding landowners also cause some delays. Just curious, are you with a consulting company or industry?
