Big Country
Here's the background - My cousin (actual relationship harder to explain as it involves my wife's stepfather's family, so not sure what the actual relationship to me is considered) is from Ireland and through her school she is spending a summer abroad. There is a group of a few friends and they are going to the Chicago area (in the Wrigleyville to Lincoln area is what I have been told, I don't know Chicago, so not sure where that is). She is 20 and part of the program is that they have to work while abroad. She will have a J1 permit that allows her to work while in the US. Work can be anything from waitressing/hostessing, office work, retail etc., anything that a typical summer college job would be. Do any of you Chicago area guys have any contacts/prospects that icould send to her to help her out with this? I'm only concerned in finding her something right now, but if you have multiple openings I'd forward that information as well for her friends/classmates. As always, I appreciate any help any of you can give, and if you have any additional questions, I will try get more information.
i_am_the_swammi
We own a Hilton Suites in downtown Chicago - Magnificent Mile. Not sure that might a tad too far away from Wrigleyville for her to want to take the train everyday (might be intimidating for someone not from there). if you want me to pursue it to see if there is something that fits the bill, I'd be gla to make a call. rocknrobn26
I'll ask my daughter, but she's a teacher and her fiance is a network engineer so no real connections.

rocknrobn26
My daughter didn't have anything, but w/ the large Irish population here, I'd suggest contacting some of their support orgs. Here is a result from a quick Google: http://youngirish.com/ http://www.irishhour.com/ChicagoEvents.html http://www.chicagogaelicpark.org/ The one possible problem would be the Irish community is pretty much on the south side, but there are pubs/restaurants all over the city. Good Luck to her.

Big Country
There's always this... bad SEC To be honest, I was expecting quite a few more responses along similar lines, or some comment on the phrase "multiple openings". I guess I just have to raise my expectations of the population here.
