Dropkick once Seen flogging molly a couple of times but only at warped tour - Dropkicks are an amazing live band but 70% of the crowd are frat boys who just want to slam into people and hop around to Shipping up to Boston. What's wrong with "frat boys" wanting to slam into people and hop around to their songs as opposed to everyone else that wants to slam into people and hop around to their songs? Or for that matter, 42-year old guys that slam beers in their cars prior to shows that want to slam into people?

darin3
good one I wasn't trying to be funny; really just a question. What's the problem with people enjoying a show? Does it matter if they're in a fraternity or not? Are you saying that "frat boys" are just a bunch of rowdy drunks? Sound familiar?
Azazello1313
Are you saying that "frat boys" are just a bunch of rowdy drunks? it doesn't sound like it's the "rowdy" and the "drunk" he has a problem with. it's that they are, you know, frat boys. poseur douchebags strutting around in groups drawing attention to themselves, spending daddy's money, etc., as the stereotype goes. as to whether there's any truth or fairness to the stereotype, well, maybe we don't need to go there... Meh, sounds like you - and others - may just be stereotyping. How about the "frat boys" that aren't "poseur do0shbags"? Are they allowed to go to these shows and enjoy themselves? And, the main point: there are plenty of "poseur do0shbags" that aren't in fraternities that attend these shows too. Why aren't we clowning them? Then when the music starts instead of going with the flow of the pit, they take running starts and crash into women and kids half their size and call it good night. trust me - Ive been to at least ten murphys shows and they bring them out - just one quote from a review - Saw them in Indianapolis last week. H2O Ginsuing killed it, but I couldn't even watch DKM, There were so many drunk Chia Pets getting into fights and just being obnoxious Ginsus. I can't count how many people got kicked out, and I saw at least one guy getting arrested afterwards. If H2O were headlining, you wouldn't see kids throwing beer everywhere and treating the security guards like SHAM WOW! and starting fights. I hate to judge a band by it's fans, but seriously, Ginsu DKM fans. I just can't can't get with a band who are into Catholicism, beer and sports so much. That's what I got into punk rock to get *away* from Edited July 27, 2011 by frenzal rhomb
