Bronco Billy
Quite a few Huddlers drafted William Green at the end of round 1 in 2003. There was also the Tatum Bell craze.
wpayers
Quite a few Huddlers drafted William Green at the end of round 1 in 2003. Yes indeedie! Willie Green! Now he brings back memories. May even have been 2002. I had just started checking out the Huddle and realized it was a gold mine of info. Leading up to the draft I was spouting off to my buddies insights that hitherto never would have crossed my mind. They were shocked at my newfound wisdom and demanded I reveal my source. Of course I wouldn't. The secret treasure map was all mine! As we did in the "old days", the draft was held in a loud local bar. It was the Press Box on Dale Mabry in Tampa. The other guys showed up with stacks of magazines but I brought only my yellow highlighter and the Huddle Cheat Sheet rolled up and printed on one sheet of legal paper in 6 pt. I had clipped off The Huddle header to maintain maximum secrecy. I drafted at the bottom of the 1st round. I don't recall my first pick but I bolted up to the flip chart at the top of the 2nd, puffed out my chest, and proudly scribbled WmGreen, RB. The rest is history. It took months to get over the shock. The Huddle had pimped Willie Green all summer. "THEY SAID" he'd be a stud. How could Yoda, Casey Kasem and Columbus all be so wrong! Drafting Wm Green changed my FF life. I realized that Draft Guides don't make busts...people do.
Scorcher
My first draft in 2004, I drafted Kurt Warner 1st. It was the year he played half the season for the Giants and then Eli took his place the rest of the way.
heehawks
I can't remember bigger first round busts than this year's Ray Rice and TRich(thankfully in only one league each), and I've been playing since the late 1980's. This X 1000. I thought I had one of my best ffb teams I've ever had this year. 8-man local (21 years strong), Rice fell to me at the 6 hole, then T-Rich fell to me at the turn, and picked up Julio with my 3rd. Needless to say, I'm 2-6.
