hezagenius
I see plays time after time where the player is clearly not able to advance any further because 3 defensive players are hanging on them, and on the way of getting dragged to the ground, they lose the ball. The refs rule it is a fumble and the other team gets the ball. Why isn't that stopped forward progress? Is there a specific set of criteria that need to be met or is it a judgment call? Big John
It is a judgment call. It should be is a condition where the ball carrier can no longer move forward. If the refs rule that, any fumble after that does not count.
