Man - I feel bad for this guy. He wasn't a fantasy stud, but even at that - he's contracted MRSA and is in jeopardy of losing his foot. I really never understood MRSA until recently. My mother is diabetic and has feet problems. One of her toes got infected and they had to amputate it. In doing so, she contracted MRSA in the process, and it started up her foot into her leg. After several surgeries to clean it out and try to get rid of all the infected tissue, leg amputation was the last resort. Fortunately the day they intended to amputate her leg, they found that in the concoction of 15 different antibiotics - something in there finally worked its magic and they were able to save everything. She was in the hospital for 4 weeks though to make sure it didn't start spreading again.

MRSA is some nasty isht though. It's damn near immune to any sort of antibiotic. The only way to really stop it from spreading (if it's in an arm/leg) is to amputate your limb to keep it from spreading into your upper torso where it will just wreak havoc on your insides.

Not that all that is necessary - but I've learned a LOT about MRSA these past few months - and man - it's a nasty bitch!
