mikepr
Here I am watching that stupid Bears & Packers game on FOX, turn to CBS and there's a stupid infomercial on. Comeon! This shouldn't be. What does the NFL have to gain by limiting how many games get televised?

Shorttynaz
Cause AT&T pays the NFL $1.5 BILLION dollars a year for exclusive rights to air all the games. It will be this way until at least 2022 when that contract expires.
stevegrab
CBS and Fox have double headers that alternate (not every week but even out of over the season), they have time slots where only they have a game and not the other network, that means more eyes on their game. Sounds like you want week 17 with both CBS & Fox having double headers to be an every week thing. I don't think that ever happens. If you want to watch more football than what you get on broadcast TV Sunday afternoons you have many options (Sunday Ticket, Red Zone, go to a bar). Its all about the $$$, you want more and better games but probably don't want to spend any, the NFL is not setup for that.
