dirtyharry
I have Chris Brown and am considering a trade offer for Jerome Bettis. Brown has been very productive when he's been healthy but I'm not sure he will be 100%, or even close to it the rest of the year with his turf-toe injury. Bettis has been a monster lately but what will happen to him once Staley gets healthy? My other RB's are S Alexander and D Davis and I use a 3rd RB in a flex. Any opinions will be helpful. Would you rather have Brown or Bettis?
digitaldan21
I'd rather have Brown going forward, Bettis not going to be able to carry the full load any longer, and Brown is coming back from his injury soon. -DD21
Football Fever
I agree, I like Brown. Bettis will get you TDs but the yardage will start to slow down. Good luck. Checkout my post, thanks.
bumpersb
That turf toe can be a SOB. At first I thought stick with Brown but I think I am still mesmerized by some of his big performances this year. I say go with Bettis. Even for those old legs he still has to be somewhat fresh this year. Also I think you can ride him this week and next. Even when Staley was healthy Jerome put up some big numbers. I don't see that changing if Pitt keeps winning and as the season gets more cold. Cowher will try to keep staley as healthy as possible for the playoff run. bumpersb
Forgot-Is this a keeper league? I imagine you would have stated this. If so keep Brown!
ROCKNE
I'd keep Brown , If you do decide to trsde him you should be able to get more for him than Bettis.
dirtyharry
this is not a keeper league. My trade deadline is coming up this week so I need to decide ASAP. Any more?
phx_phan
Stick with Brown, especially with your depth at the other two RB spots. The Bus has been nice lateley, but he will become very inconsistent when Duce returns. Good luck, and thanks for your input to my post. BAM2070
I'd also stick with Brown in the long term - especially with Staley eventually coming back. I also own Brown and wouldn't trade him for Staley.
needsomeluck
not sure how your scoring system works no matter what happens Bettis is going to get the goal line carries. Duece was excused from practice to get a 2nd opinion on his on his hamstring. So his injury maybe worse then we know. Brown has been fighting this toe injury for weeks. He has managed to suck it up and play. Maybe sitting a week will help. If they sit him for sure this week. Tenn sched... at jaqs,at Hous,@Indy,KC,@Oak,Den Pitts sched....at Cincy,wash,@jaqs,Nyjets,@giants,Balt If this is a keeper league Brown is a no brainer. IF its td heavy scoring Bettis is always going to be good even if Duece comes back.
Skrappy1
No way I trade Brown for Bettis, not even a gimpy Brown. Bettis is going to see his value take a big hit when Staley comes back. Haynes I think is back this week too which will take at least some carries from the Bus.
