pseudolefty
Hmmmm... Four of the top defenses in the league reach the conference championship games (Steelers, Pats, Eagles, and Falcons). The offensive juggernauts are down and out (Colts, Vikes, Rams). The best teams seem to be those that are balanced on both sides of the ball and play in any type of weather conditions. The Week 1 Smackbowl standings are likely in for a reversal in the upcoming weeks. Anyone at the top had to have the likes of Manning, Culpepper, Wayne, Moss, Holt, Edge, LT2, Gates, and Clark. Now those with the likes of McNabb, Westbrook, Vick, Brady, Dillon, Ward, and Bettis have to be licking their chops.

pseudolefty
not necessarily 657386 Interesting link. Well, then let me adjust that statement to say that "well-balanced teams" win championships.
Glabra
when was the last time the same city hosted two victory parades in a season?
steeler
not necessarily 657386 The numbers are totally meaningless in that link because it examines the "52 superbowl teams since 1978". Who cares about the teams that made the superbowl and lost? The saying is "defense wins championships", not "defense gets you to the super bowl". But that's just me
Big John
when was the last time the same city hosted two victory parades in a season? 657402 Some close calls I did not count, such as 2002 LA Lakers and Anaheim Angels or 2000 NY Yankees and NJ Devils. So for the 4 major pro leagues: 1988 - LA Lakers and LA Dodgers.
broncosn05
That's the most untrue statement I have seen ever in the Huddle. What do the Dolphins have. Yeah now what???
Finger
when was the last time the same city hosted two victory parades in a season? 657402 2004 Pats and 2004 Red Sox, just happened. The question should be when was the last time a city hosted back to back parades. Maybe sooner than some think?
