phenom
I wonder what Lawyer Milloy thinks about now that the Pat's are doing it with Rodney now.........
Whiskey Pimp
Didn't he say in an interview recently that all of the Patriots are drinking the Belickick kool-aid and not going out there to get what they're worth in big contracts? Hmm, let's see, an extra 2-3 mil/year or more rings???
uglytuna
Milloy has never played like the way Harrison has played as a Patriot. -Uglyness
Swampnuts
Being on a winning franchise or so-called "dynasty", will inflate Pat's players $ values if and when they choose to sign elsewhere. Sounds to me like Lawyer's a bit jealous
Guest Sores
Wasn't Milloy cut? He didn't really have a choice. I suppose they could have reworked his contract to have him stay, but I am not sure that was even an option....
Piranha
He was cut, he had no choice. As I read it, he was as shocked as anyone else when he found out they had just cut him.
Patsfan04
They signed Harrison in the spring of '03, which gave them 2 hard hitting safeties. The published word was that the Pats had plans to play both in the same secondary. There is no doubt that they got Harrison knowing that Lawyer was going to be cut at some point, either that year or the next. They couldn't come to an agreement on a restructured contract, so he was cut. The thing to remember is the secondary had some bad games in 2002 that contributed to them going from Superbowl XXXVI in 2001 to 9-7 in 2002 and no playoffs. Belichick wasn't happy with the way the secondary, Milloy in particular, played that year. Not too mention that Milloy's head probably ballooned the biggest after the superbowl win. A quote in the above mentioned interview above was "superbowl rings can't feed your family". Hmmm, ask Joe Namath what he thinks about that comment. Now he's a filthy rich bitter jealous toad who got used by his agent ...
wolfden1
Of course he's jealous, but so is every other safety in the league. They all want to win championships. But, at what cost?? Milloy went out and got what he really wanted...the $$. Now that he's got the money, it's sour grapes for not winning more titles. Give him the opportunity to do it over, he'd do the same thing.
