Chief Dick
Not a big surprise, but should be interesting to see what they do. Heard it on the radio on the way home, so no link. Edited March 14, 2005 by Chief Dick
muck
Hmmm... I still would prefer Surtain by a fairly wide margin.
Piranha
Is he back to 100% healthy yet?
Patsfan04
I read he will not be 100% until August, which is the reason for the luke warm interest thus far.
Chief Dick
I read he will not be 100% until August, which is the reason for the luke warm interest thus far. 734301[/snapback] An article in the KC Star this morning confirms it. Carl Peterson is quoted as saying they are hesitant to invest a lot of money in him right now until they feel better about his injury. muck
A solution could be (that Carl won't think of and Ty wouldn't agree to) would be: Year 1: Veteran Minimum with $5 million signing bonus ... roster bonus of $4 million on February 1, 2006 Year 2: $6 million salary ... with $3 million roster bonus paid on September 1, 2006 Year 3: $5 million salary ... with $2 million roster bonus paid on September 1, 2007 Year 4: $4 million salary ... with $1 million roster bonus paid on September 1, 2008 Year 5: $3 million salary Year 6: $2 million salary ...total deal if he plays to completion of the 6yrs (which he probably won't)... Approximately $20.5 million in salary, plus $15 million in signing and roster bonuses ... total package of $35.5 million (plus other incentives...Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, % of defensive snaps played, etc.)...however, if his foot doesn't heal, then KC isn't on the hook for a ridiculous contract... Chargerz
A buddy of mine lives next door to someone who works in the Chargers front office who said that the Chargers may make a play for Ty Law. There is still the issue of his health (anybody got an update on that??), but if he heals well, this would be a great move for the Bolts to improve the awful pass defense we had last season!!
