The commissioner of Major League Baseball, Bud Selig, underwent surgery on Monday to have a cancerous lesion removed from his forehead.

Selig had the procedure preformed at New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Doctors used a skin graft to repair the area where the cancerous melanoma skin lesion was removed.

The lesion was discovered last month during a routine check up. A biopsy showed the cancer had not spread and was confined to the spot removed Monday.

"There is no evidence that the melanoma has extended beyond the skin," said a statement released by the commissioner's office.

True Chargerz but why is he still working if he has a serious condition.  Baseball is so up in the air right now this would be a good time for his departure.

He should have departed a long time ago.
