The Captains Wench
We all know the success that Belichick has had without having to spend a lot of money. Is he the reason that teams aren’t willing to give up a 3rd round draft pick for a top RB like Alexander?

The Pats gave up a third rounder for Dillon though, but again, the price tag to sign him (he actually restructured for less money) was less. It's called managing the cap, he'd rather have 22 Really good players and 10 Very good players for backups. Rather than 2 Superstars, 15 Very good players, and 5 Bums. Duchess Jack
I hope so. It certainly would stand to reason that the Eagles and Pats success would lead teams to rethink how they spend their money.

However, if you can build the right team for less money and not quite as much glitz then people will come after you win consistently. If you build it, they will come .... :doah: sorry, forgot this was a football forum.
