He tried an all or nothing stance, then changed it, then was pretty much out of the loop at the end it seemed. His effectiveness from 1995 just wasn't there anymore. Hopefully Saskin does a much better job next time the CBA is up. I also heard Gartner may be up for a promotion within the NHLPA.
