MikesVikes Posted June 23, 2006 Share Posted June 23, 2006 (edited) The Interboard Challenge league is a competition between five message boards - TheHuddle, FFToday, FootballGuys, FFWarroom, and FantasySportWire that is in its 6th year. Each board selects 12 members to participate - a 60 member league. Each league member is trying to win as an individual and also as a board member. The Huddle has won the league board title in the past but hasn't for a few years. We need that to change beginning this year. There are 5 drafts held, beginning usually in late July, early August, and mid August. Each board has 2-3 of its members in each of the drafts. After all of the drafts are completed, all 60 league members are combined into one hugh league. The league has five copies of each NFL player. A Huddler has for his opponent each week one member from another board, so you play 4 H2H matchups each week of the regular season. The Huddle is looking for one (possibly two) members to add to its team this season. This league requires a substantial time commitment of its league members. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO COMMIT TO THIS LEAGUE, THAN THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. Besides following along with the five drafts, there are many trades of players and/or draft picks to consider. Waivers are processed each week and that is a battle each and every week in of itself. If you're interested or want more information, post in this thread for consideration. If I get in, how many drafts do I do and how many teams do I manage? 1. - No there is no money involved 2. - The drafts are done through MFL over a period of a couple of weeks. 3. - You draft 16 players and are assigned to 1 of the 5 drafts. The difference in this league is that you can trade out of your draft and into another draft if you see a player drop who you believe has value...for instance...say you are drafting in Draft E...but Tony Gonalez falls to the 5th round in Draft A...you can trade picks from your draft to move into Draft A and take Gonzalez. Therefore you really need to pay attention to all 5 drafts and look for players that you believe you want in another draft. The 5 drafts don't take place all at the same time (Usually 2 drafts start 1st week of AUgust, 2 more drafts start 1 week later and the last draft starts 1 week after that) HtH Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(In this case without.) Why not try out your FF knowledge against the finest that four other boards have to offer? They'll bring there best game, can you? zmanzzzz Posted June 25, 2006 Share Posted June 25, 2006 (edited) when this place went pay i left and started a thread over a fbg called 'i miss the huddle'. it turned into an 8 page sob fest and the interbored challenge resulted. the ffwarroom voulunteered to host it and the rest is history. unfortunatly i got banned from fbg before we could get her off the ground and i have existed in exile with the gaywads over at fftoday. i was tempted to join thier little team but they all suck dog balls and i didnt want to be associated with them. anyways, this is my origial bored and i have an inkling more respect for you guys and would love to play. i know i post trollish drivel on a regular basis, but that is just a cover to hide the fact that im the best ff player on the planet. also, another note on my resume is that i concieved and have commished the 3 year old curly/geek ff league. where fftodayers partner up with girls from the jihaded curly hair forum and teach our favorite pasttime, fantasy football. so guys, ive been a bad boy, lived in exile, payed my dues and am back to shread. bring it.
