Bring Back Pat!!!
As of right now, seems neither really wants it: Who’s Not: The kickers – The duo of veteran Martin Gramatica and rookie Stephen Gostkowski was put to the test at the end of practice with attempts from about 35 yards under orchestrated pressure situations including last-minute defensive timeouts and other distractions. Neither shined in the action, and Gramatica in particular looked very bad in missing a “pressure-filled,” 37-yard kick to close out the practice. As preseason game action approaches, both kickers have plenty left to prove. link
Caveman_Nick
Who will be PK when the season starts ? Martin Gramatica or 4th round Pick Stephen Gostkowski There is no clear indication either way. Arguments for the rookie are centering around that the two kickers have both been pretty good, and if the vet doesn't distance himself there will be no reason not to keep the rookie. Arguments for Gramatica center around him being a very good kicker for several years and a veteran SB kicker. He looks Healthy, and you know he can respond to the pressure. I think Gramatica, and a good friend who also follows the team closely thinks it will be the rook. Really, it's anybody's game.
