efranklin
Hey first time poster here. One of the biggest challenges each week for me in my league is deciding on which IDP to choose for the week, it always seems like I bench the ones that do good each week. So I would greatly appreciate some help for my defense this week. We have to start three defensive players so out of the 5 I have who would you start?? DB - Ed Reed against Oakland DB - Adrian Wilson against Seattle LB - Lance Briggs against Detriot LB - Mike Peterson against Pitt LB - Andra Davis against Cincy The points system for my league is 1 point for a tackle, 0 points for assisted tackle, 4 points for INT, 4 points for Sack, 3 points for Forced Fumble, 3 points for Fumble recovery, 1 point for Pass Deflection. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Davis is a no brainer to me....so is Peterson and Briggs. I hate to sit two stars that are DB's, but if you ever have a question, as long as they are playing against teams that will run the ball, you should most likely always start your LB's. Good luck! Good luck! ok thanks! I did read one source that said to start Ed Reed cause of how bad Oakland is, however the thing with Ed Reed is he never gets a lot of tackles, you pretty much have to count on an INT to have success with him. TecmoBeast
Those 3 LBs will be your best bet, you'll get more points in the long run and your points will be more consistent each week. You'll be pissed if you start a DB like Reed and you only get 2 solos! Trying to land INTs with DBs is impossible, maybe if one of them is playing Favre should you even consider it. Leave Briggs in there cause he's scored a TD 3 straight seasons. Peterson is getting good sack #s in JAX which is a big plus. Andra Davis can easily have 100 solos instead of 60 assists. darin3
Peterson and Davis for sure. I like Briggs but I would consider Wilson @SEA as well.

keggerz
well I just picked will witherspoon off of waivers, should I consider putting him in over someone else? try and trade someone for some help on offense, you are absolutely stacked at LB(including your recent additon of spoon)
efranklin
Well I made a "Cardinal" mistake. I started Briggs over Adrian Wilson, Briggs didn't do anything and Wilson was a damn beast. 6 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 INT, and one Pass Deflection, which was good for 19 points in my league!!! A friend of mine who had him last year told me to never bench Wilson cause of his ability to get tackles, sacks, and ints. The good news is going into tonights game I am only down 2 points and I have Mike Peterson left and my oppenent doesn't have anyone left.
