Crispy
Michael Pittman - RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Running back Michael Pittman returned to full practice status on Friday and is in line to see his first action since injuring his ankle earlier in the season. HUDDLE UP: With starting RB Earnest Graham battling his own ankle injury and listed as questionable on the Tampa Bay injury report, look for Pittman to see a nice amount of carries in the game even if Graham manages to get on the field. Tampa Bay will take on the Atlanta Falcons which could be a nice matchup for the Buccaneer running game this week. Another RBBC for the rest of the year? Pittman definately has some value to the Bucs especially with Earnie being questionable now. What will happen with Bennett when he returns? Any insights from TB homers or anyone else? I'm sure it's a nice problem for the Bucs but somebody is going to eventually be rising to the top.

MonkeyOne
As JR said, RBBC. Pittman will play a part but won't take over as Gruden hasn't wanted to feature him for a while. No idea what's going to happen for Bennet, whether he'll start getting significant carries or just stay as depth. xtra
http://www.news-press.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar...074/1010/SPORTS Bucs coach Jon Gruden was asked about the return of Pittman and Bennett getting ready. “Everybody is asking for Bennett,” Gruden said. “Earnest Graham in the past three games, all purpose yardage-wise, has to be one of the top three or four gainers in football. And that’s all he’s played. He’s only started a few games. If you ask me, let’s find a few more ways to get Earnest Graham the ball. As Bennett picks things up and shows that he deserves to play, he’ll play.”
irish
I think Graham continues to get the bulk of the carries, Pittman is the 3rd down/COP RB and Bennett will just be a backup that gets a few touches per game. However, with Graham injured the door just may have been opened for Pittman and or Bennett to come in and show what they've got created a RBBC. I liken this situation to what happened with the Bengals. Rudi was the starter and got hurt, the backup (Watson) came in and performed very well keeping the job for a while. However he sustained a concussion and that allowed Rudi to take the job back, even though Rudi sucks and Watson fits the offense better. Obviously the players are a bit different but the idea that injuries can create opportunites as well as take them away is a constant. policyvote
"Eventually"? It's Week 11! Fantasy-wise, if a starter hasn't already emerged, it's a moot point. Peace policy

Peace policy Three weeks left in our regular season and three more in our playoffs. Still plenty of time for things to happen. I'm also in a 14 team league (roster size of thirteen) which severely limits the number of runningbacks to go around. So, yes, being able to forecast what may eventually transpire still has its place. Thank you all for your input.

Tampa's schedule is pretty sweet.....Atl., Wash., NO, Houston, Atl., and San Fran. There's some nice matchups to be had there and I could have Pittman off waivers. How many championships did Ron Dayne bring home last year? When the playoffs start, it's all about who gets hot at the right time with the right matchups. Plus, if you're doing well and you're in a competitive league with a worst to first waiver wire system, you've got to indentify the hot pickups a least a week before it becomes obvious, maybe even two or three.
