Gros Membres! Posted December 15, 2007 Share Posted December 15, 2007 Just read that Matt Moore could get the start this week as Vinny Testaverde has missed practice. Coach John Fox said it would likely be a game time decision as to which QB starts. I have Chris Henry sitting in my bench with the nice matchup but need some BIG points this week. I'm in the playoffs and starting Kevin Curtis and Brandon Marshall over him. I can't think of any WR (that aren't on IR) that I WOULDN'T start over him. PSULions Posted December 16, 2007 Share Posted December 16, 2007 It is cold and rainy here now and it is supposed to hit low to mid 40s and be windy tomorrow. I will be at the game and I think it will be a tough game for Carolina. The running game can't get it going so I suspect that we will be down and forced to pass. Moore has potential and I would rather see him start over Vinny at this point just to see if he is worth keeping on the roster next season. Smith can't break out with a good game and even score, but the last few games that we were at home the offense has scored one TD until the SF game two weeks ago. If you have better choices at WR, than I would say bench S. Smith, but if you are stuck with a VJax or other not so attractive options, Smith could surprise with Moore at QB tomorrow. We are getting the rain now and it is supposed to be chilly and windy, but I don't think we will have rain or thunderstorms at gametime. PSULions Posted December 17, 2007 Share Posted December 17, 2007 Great game for my Panthers today. Didn't think they had a chance, but the D really stepped up today and our new QB Matt Moore looked great. Yes, it was only one game, but the kid looked better than Carr did at any point in the season and really managed the game well. Steve Smith was featured all day and had a good game without getting into the end zone. DW looked much better than Foster who had yet another fumble that we recovered, but it was his 8th for the season.... Hopefully, Fox will increase his touches against the Cowboys on Saturday night to give him a change to see what he can do, just like he did with Moore at QB today.
