budlitebrad
I've read in a few places that TT is very interested in this guy for the Packers, probably as a 1-2 punch with Grant. He seems like one of the few consistent players for LSU and has 4.6 speed with decent hands. Probably worth a late round pickup? What do you think he could do in the pros? BS Miscreant
I like the kid alot. I hope he finds the right fit. That said, he's 6'0" 225 and listed as a fulllback. I could see the fullback thing if he can carry just a little more weight. The only way he makes it as a tailback type is if he's one of those guys that has much better football speed than his 40 time suggests, ala Jerry Rice(reportedly ran only 4.7), because 4.6 ain't gonna cut it in the NFL. Bottom line is though, the guy is a football player. He makes plays when plays need to be made. LSU wouldn't even be close to where they are this season if not for Hester and I'm quite certain that there are teams/scouts that have noticed. Sgt. Ryan
best they have at RB, but wouldnt make an NFL roster as a feature back. in fact not sure he can make it as a lead block. he may have to be some sort of H back, and hope he drops some ass, and learns to catch better. Maybe, just maybe, he can back up Chris Cooley at Washington.

Eh, 4.6 is probably on the bottom end of acceptable speed; it's fast enough, but you'd better be bringing a lot of other things to the table to make up for the fact you aren't a game breaker. What sort of running scheme does LSU have? 4.6 speed, good size, tenacious - he might be a reasonable fit in a zone scheme - one cut and downhill. sacosud
If Stecker can run in the NFL so can Hester. Hester reminds me some what in running style as Stecker. I would take a guy like that for special teams alone.
