Injury Could Tempt Favre's Comeback

Retired QB Brett Favre said that he would play again for the Packers if they called him because of injuries.

We aren't sure how desperate the Packers would be, considering the rumors that they were trying to get rid of Favre anyways. QB Aaron Rodgers has a history of being injury-prone, but it would probably take more than just him getting injured for the Packers to pick up the phone.

Caddy Works Out

It's being reported that Buccaneers RB Cadillac Williams worked out on his own during the team's OTAs on Tuesday.

Williams practiced in a plow-horse drill, but it's still not believed that he will be able to contribute once 2008 starts.

Lynch to get 20-25 Carries

New coordinator Turk Schonert is installing an offense that tailors to the strengths of second-year quarterback Trent Edwards. The Bills will still emphasize the running game and make sure talented second-year back Marshawn Lynch gets his 20-to-25 carries each game.

Lynch totaled 1,115 rushing yards and seven TDs in his rookie season. He should be even more involved this season and should be considered when drafting in the 1st round of all leagues. While he only caught 18 balls last season, that total should jump this season as the Bills use more of a short-passing game.

Heap to Be More Involved

Look for TE Todd Heap to have a big season. First of all, Heap didn't play most of last season because of several injuries, so he has basically had a year to heal. Secondly, the Ravens have a new offensive coordinator in Cam Cameron.

Cam Cameron did an outstanding job with Antonio Gates, so don't be surprised if Heap also has good success. Heap may go under the radar in some drafts this season because he didn't play much in '07. Don't let him slip off your radar.

Parker Out on 3rd Downs?

With the addition of RB Mewelde Moore, Steelers RB Willie Parker could see less time on the field. Moore will allow the team to spell Pro Bowler Willie Parker, especially in third-down situations, and should improve the team's chances of finding a pass-catching back.

Parker owners were disappointed in the TD output from him last season and now his receiving totals could also take a hit. Parker could quickly go from a RB1 to a RB2 real fast if Moore actually takes the field on 3rd downs. Najeh Davenport is still expected to get most of the goal line carries.

Chiefs Looking At Vanderjagt

It's being reported that the Chiefs had worked out K Mike Vanderjagt on Monday.

It seems so long ago that Vanderjagt was a legit top-5 fantasy kicker. Now he will be lucky to find a job in the league. Obviously there is value in Vanderjagt if he can sign on with someone, but don't look his way for now.

Saints Sign Glenn

The Saints have signed former Jaguar DB Aaron Glenn.

At 35, Glenn likely won't have a huge role in the offense and will likely be used to mentor the younger players in the secondary. Don't consider Glenn an IDP option.

Isn't this why I was supposed to draft David Martin last season?

While Heap is certainly better than David Martin, I too would not get too optimistic about this.

Is Brett's agent strapped for cash? Is he the one who keeps sending out these statements? This hasn't been the first.

Let's see  he drives down to Brett's house, asks Brett if the Packers players were all hurt would you consider coming back?

Next day headlines "Favre Considering Comeback" :D

Oh man... I've been reading about his shenanigans lately and this dude is desparate! :D

Maybe Favre is his only client.

From everything I've read, Bus knows Brett REALLY well, and he's keeping Brett's options open if he changes his mind. Something that is possible.
