dino88
"Joseph Addai (shoulder) missed Colts practice in its entirety Wednesday. Coach Tony Dungy says Addai "may not be able to play" in Week 15 against the Lions, which is either an indication that the shoulder injury is serious or that the Colts intend to play it safe. "There’s a chance (newly signed) Najeh (Davenport) could be playing right away," Dungy added. "We’ll get him up to speed as quickly as we can." Dominic Rhodes will be a borderline RB1 play if Addai is inactive on Sunday." ---from rotoworld

Avernus
wow...if Addai does not play, Rhodes will be a monster for anyone who can start him... the thought of having a RB start against the Lions in week 15 makes me

Maybe I'll pick up Rhodes and start him instead of Addai.
TDFFFreak
Now I have to decide if Gonzales is worth a start against the Lions if I don't have any clearly better options at WR...
Avernus
I have Addai and lost Hillis. Maybe I'll pick up Rhodes and start him instead of Addai. Rhodes was already "startable" imo....no Addai makes him an "S1".. now it looks like I'm headed to the Fantasy Advice forum for my RB situation... nogohawk
Currently starting him over Dunn - I'll wait and see on Sun. morning the latest before benching him. The matchup is too great to leave him on the bench.

The matchup is too great to leave him on the bench. this year has definitely been more about the match-up rather than the stud....every year it gets worse with more and more RBBC situations every year... this week....you might be saying "start Rhodes over AD"...or "start LenDale White over Clinton Portis"... Easy n Dirty
As of now I'm benching Addai for Jonothan Stewart (don't have Rhodes).
gardenthug
As of now I'm benching Addai for Jonothan Stewart (don't have Rhodes). I'm starting Maurice Morris in place of Addai, no Rhodes either. I was out of the country when Addai hurt his hammy. I hate pinning my playoff hopes to a Seattle RB. Double Agent
The Indianapolis Star expects Dominic Rhodes to be the Colts' starting tailback in Week 15 against Detroit. The Star anticipates Chad Simpson (ankle) and Joseph Addai (shoulder, knee) sitting out and Lance Ball coming up from the practice squad. Detroit's run defense has lost top DT Cory Redding for the year and surrenders 5.0 yards per carry. It also has served up 23 rushing touchdowns this season, the most in the NFL. We're guessing Addai's injury is only a one-week deal. Dec. 12 - 1:05 pm et Per Rotoworld. Edited December 12, 2008 by Double Agent

The other thing to consider is that it is a short week for Indy as they have to play again on Thursday night vs. Jax...so I would think the smart thing to do would be to rest an ailing Addai this week against a lesser opponent (opponent they should not even need him for when Rhodes will suffice nicely) and maybe have Addai healthy (even though I think Rhodes is the more effective RB right now for Indy) for the divisional game vs. Jax. Just my opinion though. KO'd

Soup Nazi
I hate to throw a damper on all these "warm & fuzzies" about Rhodes, but how many times after hyping up a great matchhup does it turn out to be a dud? Don't get me wrong, I have Rhodes in 3 money leagues and I am hoping for the best. I just hope Manning isn't pass-happy.

Even if Manning is pass happy....they ought to be up enough towards the end to at least get Rhodes some garbage time yardage and maybe a late score (I hope). Bill Swerski
He is an injury-prone system back...nothing more, nothing less. He's actually pretty quick, has good pass-catching skills, and can pass-block relatively well. The problem is that he's soft.
