tazinib1
Carson Palmer has reportedly been working out with Terrell Owens and has told the Bengals he would be an asset to the team, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. And the plot thickens. Chris Mortensen doesn't expect a deal soon, but says Antonio Bryant's knee remains a concern. Earlier Friday, multiple sources dismissed a report that the Bengals were "very close" to signing Owens. A marriage is looking more possible by the hour, though. Source: ESPN.com Well there goes my high hopes for Antonio Bryant this year. This would give an uptick to Palmer value in redrafts IMO. piratesownninjas
This would give an uptick to Palmer value in redrafts IMO. I'm not so sure Terrell Owens being on the field will make Carson Palmer's arm return. That thing is shot.

I'd like to see him during pre-season to confirm that. He's only 30. It's hard to believe his once deep arm is completely shot.

lennykravitz2004
Week 3 T.O. = *sniff sniff* That's my quarterback, man... Week 15 T.O. = Palmer and Ochocinco have a secret playbook behind my back! Post-Week 17 Bengals = at home watching the playoffs thanks to a divided locker room Poster child for bi-polar if I have ever seen one (not that being bi-polar is funny either). At what point does his diminished skill set become enough to offset any team's belied he can make a positive contribution? I do have to give credit to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, for somehow keeping Owens relevant to teams considering his trail of tears (and carnage from throwing teammates under the bus). Personally, I just wish T.O. would go away.
no one
Shot arm for Palmer? Perfect as Owens' skills are shot now too.

Nothing to do with age, more to do with that whole 4 game season and the elbow issues surrounding it. The arm is dead, and has been dead for a while now. You need not wait for pre-season this year, just watch the 09 tape.

lennykravitz2004
Well... According to Chris Mortenson at EastcoastSPortsNetwork... *sigh* ...just when I thought things couldn't get worse for my team... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5407084 Sources: Rams intensify Owens talksBy Chris Mortensen ESPN The St. Louis Rams have intensified discussions in hopes of signing free agent Terrell Owens, according to sources close to the player and team. NFC West blog ESPN.com's Mike Sando writes about all things NFC West in his division blog. The Cincinnati Bengals, as reported by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, are also engaged in talks with Owens. The Bengals signed free-agent receiver Antonio Bryant during the offseason but Bryant has struggled so far. According to a team source, that has motivated the Bengals to take another look at Owens. One source said the Rams have gotten very aggressive in their pursuit of Owens and it's possible that Owens will sign with the Rams or Bengals within the next 48 to 72 hours. tazinib1
Rams fan, like you used to be. I still am a Rams fan .... just not a homer I was when they were in Anaheim. Georgia Frontiere (god rest her soul) ruined that for me. The Chargers have been my Homer team for quite awhile now.
lennykravitz2004
I thought you were a Saints fan? Negatory. Wasn't really a football fan until the Rams got here. Am old enough to remember the Gridbirds when Bidwell had them here in STL, young enough to not have been a homer. Was lured by Willie Stargell and Dave Parker, and Terry Bradshaw and Lynn Swann, and the black and gold of PIT when I was little. I had to be different. Then I discovered girls and sports went to the back burner a bit. Reborn as a homer. Cardinals baseball, Blues hockey, the Gridbirds were gone and the Rams moved in during my (extended) college career. They actually practiced a few times at the University I graduated from here in STL (I'm trying to test Big John's impressive search skills), along with one of our rival (same school district) high schools right up the road. I did see the Rams almost-epic-comback during the '00 playoffs/wild card game in NO. That was NO's first ever playoff win; we had pretty decent seats too. My uncle and I went down there, and I remember the voodoo ceremony (not joking either) they had on the field before the game. I still get twitches when I hear "Who let the dogs out" which was played over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over at the Hilton(?) attached to the dome where we stayed. That was an awesome rivalry back then - Haslett vs Martz.

muck
I haven't been following Carson Palmer in, like, ever. His arm is shot? Hmmm...I was thinking that he could have a really nice season this coming year and was going to spend some time researching him and the Bengals. Maybe I won't now. lennykravitz2004
Lindenwood? (You never posted it) Maryville University http://www.stlouisrams.com/History/Chronology/ 1996Rams trade DE Sean Gilbert to Washington for sixth overall pick in 1996 draft and later swap RB Jerome Bettis to Pittsburgh for second-round selection in 1996 and fourth-round pick in 1997. Team moves into state-of-the-art administration and practice facility in June and move training camp from Maryville University in suburban St. Louis to Western Illinois University in Macomb. S Keith Lyle ties for NFL lead in interceptions with 9. Wow. 13 years since I graduated in '97. I haven't been following Carson Palmer in, like, ever. His arm is shot? Hmmm...I was thinking that he could have a really nice season this coming year and was going to spend some time researching him and the Bengals. I was wondering the same thing. But that's why I now follow the braintrust here. To help prevent me from drafting the equivalent of '06 Rudi Johnson as my first round pick again.
