LvilleSlugger
Just wondering what the standard way to determine waiver priority is... Whoever had last pick in the draft or whoever lost most recent game with lowest point total. Thanks
Lippy225
After week 1 it is usually the loser with the lowest point total. Prior to the first game, it usually reverts to the reverse of the draft. We did that for years, but know I am a huge proponent for FAAB and letting people bid on free agents. I was tired of teams that got out of the gate slowly getting dibs on all the early FA picks. Now you have to pay for them. It is fantastic, ads another level of strategy per week, and I highly recommend it.
detlef
I've never played with blind bids, but not because I haven't wanted them. I've just never been able to get whatever league I was in on board. Short of that, I prefer the rolling order starting with reverse draft order. When you use a waiver pick, you go to the back of the line and it just goes that way all season long. It is never attached to standings. I understand why leagues do worst to first, because that's how the pros do it. However, the pros have a vested interest in achieving parity, because they're selling tickets to the games. Nobody in the whole world outside of your league, cares about your league. So, what's the point of giving some teams a leg up on the others in terms of rebuilding their rosters. And, of all weeks, in the first week, when you may actually have a solid team that just stumbled out the gate and are, none the less, exactly one game out of first place. i_am_the_swammi
We go worst-to-first after week one (for no real reason other than it was the method we opted for without a whole lot of thought), then a rolling order after that. Once you use a waiver pick, you move to the back of the line.
Capt. Stanky
We have devised our own waiver system in my main money league. On Tues, after 8pm, the teams 8-10 in the standings can pick up 1 player. On Wed, after 8pm, the teams 5-7 in the standings can pick up 1 player. On Thurs, after 8pm, the teams 2-4 in the standings can pick up 1 player. FA opens to all on Friday at 8pm. We only allow up to 4 drop adds a week. They do not accumulate either, meaning if you don't use your 4 on week you lose them. This has worked well for us, and always allows the teams at the bottom to get the first shot at FA's. We have discussed possible going to bidding bucks next year though. Edited September 14, 2011 by Capt. Stanky

Phat Rugby
We use blind bids until Wednesday at 11:30 PM, then it's first come/first serve. It works well, makes you think a little and gives everyone a fair shot at free agents. A must for 12 team leagues.
ccc1
Reverse draft order for week one, then its to the back of the line after any pick. I'm not suffering because you drafted poorly.

Henry Muto
Every league I play in uses blind bids
40Rocket
My Local and Money League. Does worst to first. For some reason everybody thinks this is fair. I'm sick of it. I say why should I get penalized for winning? It is always the guys who don't draft well that get the chance to grab the flavor of the week. I don't know what it will ever take to get it changed. The Commissionor always seems to be picking in the top three.
