MTSuper7
Anyone else feel like Nicks hasn't been what you hoped for? I'm sick of Victor Cruz putting up the numbers that I hoped Nicks to get this year, yet every time I look at rest of the season rankings or game predictions, the experts all seem to think Nicks is still a safe WR1 play week in and out. I disagree with that assessment - the guy is 18th in catches, tied for 16th in TDs, and out of the top 10 in yards. I guess if you consider the injury stuff earlier this season, he's on pace to be a borderline WR1, but if you look at his last four games (BUF, MIA, SF, PHI), he has 15 catches, 273 yards and one TD. Averaging less than 4 catches, 70 yards and not scoring... And it's not like Miami or Buffalo are really world beaters... I don't think I need to post Cruz' stats for us to know that he has been, uh, just a bit better than that. So why does Nicks continue to get love? ThatDude
It's been rough but I think you will start to see defenses pay more attention to Cruz moving forward. Add to the fact that Cruz has had big plays on blown coverages or tackles. It's the targets that I'm most concerned about
Scorcher
Nicks has been a big disappointment for sure! I don't know if it is the coverage he gets, or lingering hammy issues. Probably a little of both. For me he has fallen from the "must start" status.
bushwacked
Seems like there have been a handful of wosrt/best WR performances this season (VJax, Nicks, Roddy White...).

BleedingGreen
A better title might be the worst best except for all the others. Really, what port is safe in the storm? How are you Greg Jennings owners feeling this week? About the same as the Roddy White ones last week, or the DeSean Jackson ones 2-4 weeks ago. There is something about either the Giants or Nicks this year. He's been just as seemingly volatile - the difference is we haven't been rewarded with as many of his 100+yards multiple TD orgies like he had in 2010. Really Arizona was his only dominant game. The rest he's barely gotten by with like a 40-1 game or a 60+ yard effort. Edited November 21, 2011 by BleedingGreen
LB49ers
aww, thought I got a steal trading Wells for him, guess wrong
matt770
He's not getting open and not getting targeted. Last night he was barely a factor, targeted 7 times and it felt like less than that. Cruz and especially Ballard are damn good at finding the open spot on the field, hell Ballard has 2 or 3 plays a game where he runs free down the seam and there isn't a defender within 5 yards. Helps when you catch the burritoing ball when it hits you in the hands too. But back to Nicks, not sure if he still has a lingering injury but he's not getting separation and Eli has plenty of other targets to spread it around to. Assuming he's not hit from behind and stripped of the ball first of course.

Us Cruz owners like it But seriously, I feel you, that really sucks. Luckily I didn't draft Nicks this year even though I was high on him last year and owned him in multiple leagues. I think he's been battling injuries this year and obviously the emergence of Cruz hasn't helped him any. I wouldn't drop him or trade him but I guess it's best to just temper expectations the rest of the year. I still think we'll see another multiple TD game from Nicks this season. flemingd
not sure if he still has a lingering injury but he's not getting separation and Eli has plenty of other targets to spread it around to. This is what I'm seeing. I think it's gotta be exacerbated by the injury, because he got tremendous separation the last two years - dude was always open. I'm very disappointed by Nicks so far this year that's for sure.
bushwacked
Not saying he hasn't disappointed, but going into this week my league had him as the #15 scoring WR in average PPR. I know that's not the output expected from his ADP, but a high end #2 FF WR isn't the worst output.

My issue is when I see him listed at #6 on the rest of season rankings and think to myself "I'd rather have that guy" when looking at #7, #8, #9, etc.
