SecondString
Okay, I really had his guy on my DND list this year, after watching all of the misery last year from his owners as their seasons went down the tubes. But as I'm preparing for my live auction draft this weekend in my main local league, his AAV's have dropped low enough to make me consider him....too damned tempting. Does anybody know if there is any data on the performance of RB's returning from Lis Franc injuries? Any good history there? Avernus
the last one I recall was Duce Staley and he was never the same...but that was also like 7 years ago and the technological advancements in medicine since then have been great...so who knows what the true timetable is at this point...? Tford
Kevin Jones performed admirably in 2007 after suffering a Lis Franc injury in 2006. Can't remember too many others offhand.
stevegrab
Brian Westbrook was a notable RB I recall with Lis Franc, but don't remember how he rebounded. A quick search appears the injury was in 2005, so you can check his stats before and after that.

delusions of grandeur
True, the advances in the medical field to where guys are now coming back from ACL injuries in the less than a year and quickly getting back to full speed, it's tougher to say that he won't be back to 100%. Obviously not a doctor, but I did stay at a holiday inn last night, FWIW. Knee and foot issues always concern me (though feet can be tougher to repair, but easier to play through some pain), but what concerns me with McFadden more is that he's always ailing with something... But RB is deep with RB2/3 types as insurance, so at some point the upside when McFadden is healthy is too good to pass up, as long as you're not too risk-averse. detlef
I'm picking 6 in one draft and, assuming that the big 3, Rodgers, and Megatron are gone at my pick, I've got to choose between him and Chris Johnson. I'll take my chances that Johnson has a chip on his shoulder after last year before I'll bet on DMac staying healthy.
Sprtfan
I think Shawn Alexander had the same inj and was never the same after. That was a long time ago though and he had a lot of mileage before the inj as well I think.

Dropping balls, not running well. Chris Johnson seems to have gotten paid and lazy.

Yep, and I just caught an interview with him on the radio yesterday. Dude didn't seem to be all that upset about having such a down year last year. Leaning back towards DMac but hoping Megatron or a top 3 RB falls to me.

Worst case scenario I can handle full effort leading to injury much more than CJ loafing around again. People are acting like last year didn't happen. Hopefully, as detlef said, I can avoid this decision altogether.
