theirish
I'm in a 10 man league where we can only keep one keeper for 2 years and get to keep them in the round that they were drafted (2nd year we move up a round). This is standard scoring. I traded for a lot of 1st round picks and/or keepers, so it comes down to keeping Cam Newton in Round 9 or Brandon Marshall in Round 7. To me it's obvious to keep Newton (mostly with Fitzpatrick's contract status still up in the air) in round 9, but I hate keeping a QB. But to think I can keep Newton this year in round 9 and round 8 next year is very appealing. Please let me know what you think.
frenzal rhomb
If you needed a qb and newton fell to you in round 9, you'd be pretty pleased. Keep Newton in the 9th
dirtyharry319
Dude, you're over thinking this. Newton, easy.
wist43
I never keep QB's either, but given the keeper rules you're operating under, I'd definitely go ahead and keep Newton. If you had to give up your first round pick?? No, I wouldn't do that, but being as it is a 9th rounder... go ahead and keep Newton.
theirish
I'm surprised that no one leaning towards Marshall who I have seen going in the 2nd round and Newton usually going 3rd round.

Hard to get behind him right now when the QB situation is still up in the air. I loved having him on my roster last year, but it's tough to imagine how productive he'll be if Geno's lining up under center.

He hasn't been there 3 years yet, there should be at least one more year before he goes full nuclear on the team. Unless Geno owes him some money of course... Zooty
I wouldn't consider ever keeping a QB in a 10 team league due to shear volume of available QBs. But if your only other option is Marshall, I could see keeping Newton as a 9th. Still getting great value on Marshall too and as was pointed out and I have seen, Marshall is going before Newton in drafts. Based on that I think the WR is better value and would keep Marshall.
